In Religion this week, a few students shared personal mementos and stories from their baptism. We also wrapped up our discussion of the significance of being a member of God's family. We read and recited a new prayer of thanksgiving for the families we are fortunate to have around us each and every day. next week we will talk more about Lent and the significance of praying, fasting, and alms giving during our lenten journey. The boys and girls decided as a class that we will pray more each day during the forty days of lent.
Please continue to practice addition and subtraction facts to 10 with your child at home. each week we continue work on a number of strategies to improve the boys and girls computation skills. Your help at home contributes greatly to your child's skill development. Thank you!

When your child is reading at home encourage him/her to track with a finger and to read out loud. Be sure to check your child's comprehension at the end of each book to ensure a "just right" reading level.
